When starting the game the player has the choice to play the game in relaxed mode which will strip out the timer letting players take as long as needed to finish each scene and puzzle. Once each scene in a stage has been completed there will be a puzzle to complete in order to find a boat part. Each stage is made up of differing amounts of the various scenes in the game.
